The Spanish Saya dates to the time Columbus sailed for the new world. This gown is reproduction taken from a bronze statue of a Lady figure of the wise virgin in the Wise and Foolish Virgins choir stall by master Rodrigo in the Plasencia Cathedral, Spain. The design cinches the waist – subtracting up to an inch – and provides uplift for the bosom so no bra needed. Fully lined in various satin colors, the cotton velveteen gown here can be worn with a Classic or Ruffled chemise. Removable sleeves are a fine option for hot days.
